Do your kittens come spayed/neutered?
Our kittens are not spayed/neutered before they leave our cattery. So, to protect our kittens from backyard breeders and kitten mills, we have partnered with SpaySecure, who are a 3rd party entity that helps breeders protect their kittens and breeding lines. Click the button below for more information.
Do you ever sell kittens with breeding rights?
Under certain circumstances we will sell kittens with breeding rights. You can click the button below for more information on our Breeder Program.
Do you give kittens vaccines before they leave your cattery?
Kittens are fully vaccinated by our licensed veterinarian before leaving our cattery. However, some veterinarians still like to give a 3rd core vaccine booster at 16-18 weeks to make sure the kitten is fully protected. It will be your responsibility to take with your veterinarian and have this 3rd vaccine given to your kitten if you choose. You will only HAVE to have your veterinarian give your kitten his/her rabies vaccine when he/she is 16 weeks old.
Do Maine Coons have any health issues?
Like any pedigreed breed, no matter the species, Maine Coons are prone to some health issues. HCM, PKDef, SMA, and Hip Dysplasia are among the biggest concerns. You can click the button below for more information and links to more resources.
Are Maine Coons generally healthy?
The answer to that can be tricky as so much of a cat's health has to do with the breeder. A good breeder who truly wants to better the breed and make people happy with his/her kittens, will do their best to breed overall healthy cats that will produce overall healthy kittens. However, unfortunately there are a lot of breeders out there who only care about making money, and their kittens tend to be sick their entire life.
We strive to produce quality, and overall healthy kittens with exceptional immune systems. For more information on what we do to produce healthy kittens, what you can do to keep your kitten healthy, and to find out about the biggest health concerns for a kitten, click the button below.
Is gut health important to Maine Coons?
