What is the Emotional Support Maine Coons Program?
Because of our first-hand knowledge of the difficulties of depression and anxiety, and the benefits of having an emotional support animal, we have a program to help people in need of an emotional support animal receive one of our kittens to meet that need. In order to get an emotional support kitten, you must first apply and meet certain criteria. You can click the button below for more information and find out exactly how the Program works.
How much does a kitten cost through the Emotional Support Program?
The price for a kitten in the Emotional Support Maine Coons Program is not something we discuss until the Waitlist Agreement is sent to you. We do this for 2 reasons.
Reason 1: In the cat world, your legitimacy as a breeder is somewhat tied to the price point of your kittens. If you sell your kittens for too little (which we do through the ESMCP), then you are looked at as a “backyard breeder”, or a breeder who only has sick kittens. Having this kind of a reputation can shut a good breeder down. And if our cattery shuts down, we can no longer offer this Program to those who need it.
Reason 2: Maine Coons are a very popular cat. Everyone wants one. But there are plenty of people out there who don’t want to pay the price to get a Maine Coon. So, we do not want the price of our kittens through the Emotional Support Maine Coons Program to be common knowledge, because we do not want people trying to scam us or telling us sob stories just looking for a “cheap” Maine Coon. Again, that will not bode well for this Program or the people who truly need it.
How do I know if your Emotional Support Program is right for me?
There are many factors that go into deciding if our Emotional Support Program is right for you. The first thing to decide is if you qualify. In order to qualify you must be working with a therapist or doctor to manage your condition, and they must write us a letter stating that you are in need of an emotional support animal. The next thing to decide is what you need your emotional support animal to do for you. Finally, you will need to decide how quickly you need to bring your emotional support animal home.
For more information you can click on the button below. At the bottom of the page you will find a table that should help you decide if our Emotional Support Program is right for you.
